Snowshoeing, Snoqualmie Pass. 2002
Many folks haven't heard from us since we moved to Eugene, so let's bring you up to date. 2003 was our first full year here, and we are enjoying it very much. So much, that we bought a house early in the year, and moved in July 1st. We have been weeding our unkempt hippy garden ever since.
After the autumn dieback, we started building a darkroom in the basement. Jon is attempting to learn how to flyfish. Lydia sits in a chair while Jon loses dollar bills shaped like insects in the river. We both still bike to work, although we do have a car now: first time in many years.
We were blessed this year with a new niece in Seattle, Rebecca. Lydia spent a week helping out up there, while Jon travelled to the family farm in Mink Creek and fished with Lydia's uncle.
Eugene is best in the summer, when it is sunny almost every day. We're an hour to the mountains, and an hour to the coast. We have plenty of room for guests. You're always welcome.
